PETER MCATEER is CEO of Corporate University Research (CUR) and Managing Director of Top5Learning. Peter provides client consulting and education services and serves as research director for Top5Research. As part of CUR advisory services, Peter serves an ongoing support role to several organizations including as Principal Advisor on New Product Innovation at the Consensus Building Institute (CBI), Senior Advisor on Strategy and Innovation at Origin Learning and Senior Advisor on New Product Innovation at Movius Consulting.
Previously Peter was a member of the Executive Committee for Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) that oversees the Harvard Business Review Group, Harvard Business Press, Harvard Business Corporate Learning and Harvard Business Higher Education. Mr. McAteer served as Managing Director for HBP’s Corporate Learning business, its fasting growing market segment. During Peter’s tenure, the Corporate Learning business more than doubled in size, received a range of awards for new products and greatly expanded its global distribution network.
Prior to joining Harvard Business Publishing, McAteer was Chief Learning Officer and Director of the Learning Resources Center for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), supporting 30 service lines in 156 countries. Peter also managed the UNDP Knowledge Management fund and served on the Board of Governors for the United Nations Staff College.
Prior to joining the UNDP, Peter was Vice President of Giga Information Group in Cambridge, MA, responsible for its innovative Human Resource e-Practices and Vice President of Leadership and Organization Development at Fidelity Investments. He also served as adjunct faculty at the Columbia Graduate School of International and Public Affairs.
